Gmail.

As you may or may not know I have changed my primary email address to Gmail due to massive waves of spam at techfocus.net. First let me sing the praises of all things Google. La-la-la! Now I would like to invite anyone who would like an account to drop me a line. I have six invitations. I was a little hesitant to change from my trusty text based Pine server but Gmail is really freaking cool, layout, UI, tools, everything is seriously dope.

Also I will being going to Wisconsin till the 20th so I will be offline, 'cause you know, Wisconsin is like in the Ice ages or something. Anyway if I do happen to die in a fiery crash (or alternately freeze to death). I loved you all.

A great day

So today I woke up laughing. I was having this dream, and as all dream stories go, it can't be too interesting for you to hear, but at some point I caught one of the gnomes that can walk through walls (you know the type) and just started to abuse the lil'guy. Making fun of him, poking him, and what not. And it was hilarious and I was laughing and I awoke to hear Ginevra groggily asking what was so funny. If that isn't a sign of a good day to come I don't know what it. Waking up laughing! Mystery of mysteries, I have not seen all that there is to be seen in this life.

For many a year now I have been fascinated by racial slurs. Not because I am particularly the racist, but because I find the concept of someone hating, for example, a 'Kraut' or a ‘Honkie’ to be wildly humorous. Mind you, I understand that terms can be hateful and offensive to the target of such abuse but I can’t help but laugh at someone who calls another a 'Yid' derisively. I mean, aren’t we supposed to be adults? A 'Yid'?

In any case I am happy to note that thanks to The Racial Slur Database I have finally found a racial slur for that small clan that is mine, the Slovaks. Only 3 million and yet we have our very own slur! Olejnik is, though I now have to broach this with my parents to try to figure out exactly what it means.
