My Mom Retires!

After working at the FAA First Federal Credit Union for 22 years my mother retired this month. She was the longest serving employee followed by the current president and CEO. They threw the nicest most touching retirement party I could have imagined.

As a gift from her children, we pitched in and bought her a cruise to Alaska. You can see her below in a Coast Guard ship after being rescued from the grounded Empress of the North (She is the one in the orange life jacket).

Knowing my mom, this probably make the whole trip even more fun.

Relationship Cycles

The people over at Agoraphilia had an interesting post (from September 20, 2004) about relationship cycles:

Recently, I casually mentioned to a group of guy friends that I thought many guys would be happiest with a 3-day-a-week girlfriend. Everyone present agreed. Some also expressed the suspicion that most women want a 7-day-a-week boyfriend. I bought this at first, until I realized women couldn't possibly like us that much. Naturally, I have another theory.
