All Systems Go for China's Manned Space Launch

I read that and thought to myself, wow, China is really getting it's space program (and by extension, ballistic missile program) in gear and that it is interesting to finally see the diffusion of space technology.

And the I read this part

China says all systems have passed through final preparations and are ready for the country's third manned trip to outer space, which is scheduled to launch Thursday night.

I must be losing brain cells because I don't recall the first two launches, which I suspect would have made big news, especially at the sites a geek like myself reads.
